I grew up in a small town in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.  Most of my childhood was spent playing sports and enjoying the outdoors hiking, snowboarding, camping, etc. Although I did many activities as a child, my real passion was swimming.  I was competitive and loved being in the water.  I attended Nazareth College of Rochester in Western New York, where I studied Art Education and swam collegiately, earning several Top 8 finishes at championship events throughout my fours years.  Growing up outside Lake Placid, I was surrounded by the Ironman community and athletes training from a very young age.  At the conclusion of my competitive swimming career, I set my sights on completing my first Ironman.  I quickly fell in love with the grit and drive it took to complete training weekly and what it took to be competitive in a 10+ hour race.  As I started taking triathlon more seriously, I moved to Boulder, CO, surrounding myself with successful, competitive athletes I could train with.  Through triathlon and my new found passion for cycling, I discovered gravel and quickly fell in love with the community and mindset gravel encompasses.  In 2021, my partner Chris Schroeder and myself launched a Professional Gravel Cycling team, Untamed Cycling Academy, with a mission to promote equality and support women in the sport of cycling, specifically on the dirt.
